Quality is the foundation of every enterprise. U-PAK always seeks for best quality.We work cautiously from product design to quality control by following ISO standard procedure.

Environment Policy

1. Understanding the system:  Make all employees understand the operation and spirit of environmental management system.
2. Comply with laws: Comply with the laws of environmental protection and others.
3. Continuous Improvement:  Continue to improve environmental protection, labor security and health.
4. Pollution prevention :  Implement preventive actions of environmental protection, labor security and health.
5. Resource Recycling: Classify waste with good results and approve resource recycling management.
6. Saving energy:  Reduce energy consumption and costs to protect the environment.

 

Conflict Minerals Management

As a good corporate citizen, Ultra-Pak shall bear its social responsibility, respect the human rights, pay close attention to conflict minerals issues continuously, and make efforts to examine our supply chain with diligence to assure the metals sources of, including but not limited to, tin (Sn), tantalum (Ta), tungsten (W), gold (Au), cobalt (Co), and palladium (Pd) (hereinafter referred as “Conflict Minerals”) are not sourced from the mines of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and its neighboring countries (hereinafter referred as “Conflict Regions") controlled by armed groups.

Ultra-Pak is willing to participate in the related projects of mine source survey promoted by the RBA (Responsible Business Alliance) and GeSI (Global e-Sustainability Initiative), company hereby makes following commitments:

Not to purchase Conflict Minerals from mines in the Conflict Regions.
Request our suppliers to refuse to use Conflict Minerals from the Conflict Regions.
Request our suppliers to notify their upstream suppliers of such requirements.

 

Commitment Statement on Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) Code of Conduct

We hereby commit to comply with the RBA Code of Conduct, and consistently obey requirements under the code with respect to labor, health and safety, environment, ethics and management system. Also we commit to promote the code across our supply chain.

1. Do not employ child labor or use child labor for business benefits.
2. We provide employees with health and safety workplace.
3. Any form of forced labor, slavery and human trafficking are prohibited, and working hours are not to exceed the maximum set by local law.
4. Companies shall not engage in discrimination based on race, color, age, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, ethnicity or national origin, disability, pregnancy, religion, political affiliation, union membership, covered veteran status, protected genetic information or marital status in hiring and employment practices.
5. Any form of harassment or inhuman treatment, including sexual harassment or verbal abuse, is prohibited.
6. Compensation paid to workers shall comply with all applicable wage laws, including those relating to minimum wages, overtime hours and legally mandated benefits.
7. In conformance with local law, participants shall respect the right of all workers to form and join trade unions of their own choosing, to bargain collectively and to engage in peaceful assembly as well as respect the right of workers to refrain from such activities. Workers and/or their representatives shall be able to openly communicate and share ideas and concerns with management regarding working conditions and management practices without fear of discrimination, reprisal, intimidation or harassment. And set up employee communication channels.
8. All company code of conduct is in compliance with local laws.
9. We engage integrity, refuse to participate in bribery or facilitation payments, keep fair business, no unfair advertising and competition. A way to confidentially report suspected ethical misconduct is available to employees and employees of suppliers and protects them from retaliation or other consequences.
10. We protect the intellectual property and business secrets of the company and customers, and protect the privacy of employees and customers.
11. We guarantees that the purchase of tantalum, tin, tungsten and gold is not directly or indirectly obtained from armed groups in the Republic of Congo or its neighboring countries.
